Well, here it is, the end of the month. Next week we will be setting up for First Fridays in Florence. It will be a good time to try out new products. Last week we participated in a show at the Marriot-Shoals for charity. I believe the weather and the fact it was Memorial day weekend resulted in a small turn out. Oh well, it was fun to get out and talk to some artist friends.

Grandpa Was A Carpenter
18"x24"

We had a great weekend even though it rained off and on both days. We had a good time at the Gala event at Arts Alive. I received a Merit Award in the gallery show with my charcoal drawing called Grandpa Was A Carpenter. There were many, many fantastic works representing various media. We also meet some very nice people.

The Queen
18"x24"

Here is my latest charcoal drawing. The title is The Queen. The cat in the drawing is my daughter's, her name is China (the cat not my daughter). The drawing will be part of the Arts Alive Festival gallery show May 16th and 17th at the Kennedy-Douglas Center for the Arts in Florence, Alabama.
