Ronnie was born and raised in Colbert County, Alabama where he still resides today along with his wife Pat, who designs jewelry from his art. In 1978, Ronnie graduated from Athens State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education as an Art Specialist. For the past two decades he has been teaching art in the Muscle Shoals City School System, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Exhibiting since the 80’s, Ronnie has won many awards and recognitions. Ronnie’s work has been included in many private and corporate collections. In 2007 Ronnie was selected as one of fifteen living Alabama artists to exhibit his work at the Alabama State Council on the Arts gallery in Montgomery. The exhibit, “Alabama Originals: Classical Approaches”, was part of the “Year of Alabama Arts” celebration. Working primarily in charcoal, Ronnie’s work honors the traditions and values of living in the South.
